Enhanced Gain Flatness with Sub 0.8 dB NF, Strong Linearity and Simple Matching for Applications from UHF up to 3.8 GHz and Beyond San Francisco
May 25, 2016 – Guerrilla RF Inc., a leading provider of high performance MMICs, today introduces GRF2105 – a new addition to the company’s growing list of broadband, linear LNA devices. This LNA is targeted at small cells, cellular boosters and other broadband, high performance applications offering broadband frequency coverage with a minimal number of external components.
It is offered in an ultra-small 1.5 x 1.5 mm DFN-6 package thus sharing a common pin out with numerous other GRF devices including the GRF400X and GRF201X device families. “Guerrilla RF is proud to offer this new amplifier which addresses an industry need for a cost-effective, broadband amplifier delivering outstanding RF performance over a wide frequency range.
The device’s flexible biasing capability allows for high levels of re-use with optimal efficiency over a wide range of linearity requirements,” said Alan Ake, vice president of applications and technical marketing at Guerrilla RF. “Furthermore, internal matching to 50 ohms combined with the small package and minimal number of external components results in a compact application footprint.”
According to Research and Markets, the overall wireless network infrastructure market will witness tremendous growth over the coming years. At a compound annual growth rate of over 5 percent, the market will account for over $104 billion in annual spending by the end of 2020. About Guerrilla RF’s New Broadband LNA
The GRF2105 can be operated over a range of Vdd from 3.0 to 5.0 volts and Iddq can be controlled independently from Vdd, thus allowing the device efficiency to optimized for a given application requirement. GRF2012 and GRF3012-3 Gain Blocks 2-2-2
The device is internally matched to 50 ohms and can cover 700 to 2700 MHz with a single set of external components with greater than 20.5 dB gain and NF less than 0.8 dB at 2500 MHz.
Pricing and Availability GRF2105 samples and evaluation boards will be available in June 2016. Pricing for 10,000 parts is $1.60.
